"He was the man!", former player Mark Callahan said. Most who played for W.C. Majors remember him not only for being Coach of the Varsity Football team. But, for his teaching of Life's lessons. - Hall of Fame Member Coach W.C. Majors
In those days (1964-1972), the Games were played in the back of the now Fairhope Elementary. How proud Coach Majors will be of the growth of PIRATE Sports since; keeping the tradition of the rich history of our program. Today, Pirates taking the Field do so at a Stadium named after Coach W.C. Majors.
To come this far, requires collaboration from all fronts. The Fairhope Pirate Booster Club and the City of Fairhope are stalwarts in our effort to maintain a premiere Sports program at Fairhope High School.
For example, those who visit W.C. Majors Stadium this 2015-16 Sports Year will experience a bigger and better Concession Stand. This time, it was the Fairhope Rotary Club that provided a majority of the funds for this project. Let us not forget the $500,000 Athletic Facility, a projected completed at the beginning of the 2014-15 Sports Year.
Our work is not done, and we need your help. There is a need to build a new FIELD HOUSE, which is years outdated. There are funds that remain to be paid for the Athletic Facility and Concession Stand...and, the perennial need to fund the shortfalls from the County School System.
